Baader-Meinhof Gang vets suspected in robberies

Three veteran members of the Baader-Meinhof Gang, Germany's most notorious far-left terrorist organisation, may have emerged from years in hiding to execute a series of armed robberies at supermarkets. The group was responsible for the deaths of at least 30 people between 1970 and 1998, when it officially disbanded.But police suspect that three former members - Ernst-Volker Staub, Daniela Klette and Burkhard Garweg - are behind the robberies, which have netted £290000 (over R6.7-million).In January traces of their DNA were found in getaway cars that had been used in two botched hold-ups on security vans. ..
