Renowned cartoonist Jonathan Shapiro, better known as "Zapiro", has been voted one of the top 10 cartoonists in the world by online lifestyle magazine Top Teny. Listed as No 2 on the list, Zapiro is known for making visual commentary on various aspects of society, often highlighting the politics of the day.Zapiro said: "It's a huge surprise; it's not something I applied for. I didn't even know this vote or poll was being taken ."Headquartered in New York, Top Teny was founded in 2010 "under the principle of giving readers the best the world has to offer"."Zapiro is an award-winning editorial cartoonist from Cape Town, South Africa.
