Lewis Hamilton has said that his stunning win on May 29 in Monaco proves he is "as strong as ever" after criticism of his lifestyle and form this season.Formula 1 begins one of the busiest periods in its history this weekend in Canada, with six races in the next eight weeks, giving Hamilton the chance to overhaul teammate Nico Rosberg in the drivers' championship.Hamilton slashed the deficit to 24 points with the Monte Carlo victory, and now has the chance to narrow it further at a circuit where he has won four times, including his first-ever win in 2007.Some have claimed the three-time champion's globetrotting lifestyle has hurt his focus and form this season, but the 31-year-old said the last race in Monaco shows he is at the top of his game."I've proven that I'm just as strong as I've ever been and I will be for the rest of the year, so I'm looking forward to the next chapter," Hamilton said."[Canada] has always been a good track for me, so hopefully I'm able to shine like I did the first time I went there in that great city atmosphere."Monaco also brought to an end his eight-month run without a win, maintaining his record of never having gone more than 10 races without standing on the top step. While Rosberg put down his poor race in Monaco to "bad luck", he surrendered nearly half the lead he had built up with four straight victories to open the season.Team Mercedes face a closer fight than ever from Red Bull after a stuttering start for Ferrari. With its long straights, Montreal will be a big test of Red Bull's upgraded Renault engine, introduced for Daniel Ricciardo in Monaco. - © The Daily Telegraph..
