Gordhan to listen to a mystic

Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan might be a whizz when it comes to balancing the books, but could he keep a steady footing while assuming the " warrior" and "downward dog" stances in yoga? Spiritual guidance and a little inner peace could hardly come at a better time for Gordhan, who found himself close to tears at a public gathering on Friday when discussing his ongoing battle with the Hawks. Tomorrow, Gordhan will confer with a mystic on the destiny of our nation.Jaggi Vasudev, known as Sadhguru, is founder of the Isha Foundation, which offers yoga programmes around the world.Sadhguru has addressed the World Economic Forum, the World Bank and has served as a delegate to the UN Millennium Peace Summit.Phumza Macanda, chief director of communications in the Treasury, said though Gordhan did not practise yoga, he hoped to soon.The dialogue comes ahead of the International Day of Yoga on June 21...
