One slip and they shrivel up and die. They're usually not dead, just dehydrated and can be brought back to life. Cut the plant to the quick and dip it in a solution of one tablespoon Epsom salts, one emptied tea bag in a litre of hot water and four litres of cold water. Dip in the water for 15 minutes then keep it in a cool place well watered. In a week, fronds will sprout.BEWARE THE WHITE FUZZAphids are easy to get rid of. Arm yourself with a spray bottle of cooking oil and attack .
