Mi Africa su Africa

They've travelled the length and breadth of South Africa and now Mi Casa will be taking a sho't left across the border as they continue to tour the continent. The band say their music is built on African pride, leading to their tour titled Mi Casa Unlocks Africa."You learn so much from travelling, you pick up so much from different cultures, people and different ways of life," said singer J'Something, whose real name is Joao da Foseca.Over the years the band's music has been peppered with continental rhythm, with romantic dance track Tulale Fofofo currently receiving airplay.The group collaborated with Kenyan band Sauti Sol on the track and, according to the Daily Nation newspaper in Kenya, the song's moniker is a romantic Swahili saying meaning "let's fall into a deep slumber".The band has also collaborated with Nigerian superstar Wizkid, known for tracks such as Ojeulegba and Azonto."We're basically saying that we are proud to be African through our music," said Mi Casa member Mo-T."It's about uniting people through music and collaborations with other African artists is a part of that," added J'Something."We're showing that, no matter what the language is, we're one," said Mo-T, aka Moshe Kgasoane"The continent needs artists to stand firm and unite," J'Something said.The trio also recently returned from a trip to Rwanda and Zimbabwe, where they also did some community work, visiting schools to teach children computer skills.The next stop for the band is Uganda to further promote their latest album titled Home Sweet Home. While the album is only eight months old, the band is constantly working on new music, with "international collaborations" they have worked on scheduled to be released to fans over the next few months...
