Traingate: Corbyn rails at Branson

Richard Branson has been labelled a "tax exile" who is "laughing all the way to the bank" by Jeremy Corbyn's campaign manager, while the Labour leader threatened Branson with renationalisation of the railways. Sam Tarry, the director for Corbyn's campaign, launched his attack on Branson, founder of the Virgin Group, after Virgin Trains released CCTV footage showing the Labour leader walking past empty seats before creating a film on the floor of a train that he claimed was "ram-packed".Corbyn conceded yesterday there were seats available but he could not find two together for him and his wife.Tarry earlier told BBC: "The bigger story is that a tax exile of more than 10 years decides to lay into [Jeremy Corbyn] on social media in a very public way. Branson is literally laughing all the way to the bank at British taxpayers' expense."Tarry said the "spat" was rooted in the billionaire being "upset" about Corbyn's plans to renationalise the railways. ..
