Teen singer on top of world

Everyone who's ever lost at anything has been told that winning is not everything. So that would make Henno Williams arguably the happiest loser in the country. The 13-year-old made it to the final of last year's e.tv show SA's Got Talentbutfell short in the finale.His appearance on the show was enough for music mogul Kevin Liles, who offered the teen an international recording deal earlier this year. Liles has managed artists such as D'Angelo, Fetty Wap and Trey Songz.Williams, who is moving with his family to New York next year, said: "It's amazing; I didn't think it would happen so soon. I was disappointed in the moment [when I didn't win] but I told myself that everything happens for a reason."Television producer and judge Shado Twala is proud of Williams and said he was "so unaware of his greatness".Making the most of his exposure on the show is 2013 winner Johnny Apple, who was dubbed "South Africa's Justin Bieber". Apple, who was 17 when he won, has since opened for One Direction on the band's South African tour and plans to release his second album this year...
