A glam, pan-African show with a sprinkle of escapism is what you will get from new entertainment and lifestyle show BET A-List.Debuting tonight, the show has local beauties and "It girls" Nandi Madida and Ayanda Thabethe in the driver's seat, taking you on a journey through the opulent side of Africa.At a star-studded event hosted at the Westcliff Hotel in Johannesburg last night the inaugural list of local A-listers was revealed. Olympics gold-medallists Caster Semenya and Wayde van Niekerk were honoured in the sporting field; actress Terry Pheto was honoured in the game changers category. DJ Sbu was recognised for his philanthropic efforts through his Sbusiso Leope Education Foundation and publisher Khanyi Dhlomo took the honours as the BET A-List Entrepreneur.Madida said yesterday: "The show is about the glamorous lifestyle from all over the world - and also has a bit of escapism."Co-host Thabethe said the show will highlight black excellence, especially in Africa .BET A-List airs today at 6:35pm on BET, DStv channel 129. - Additional reporting Leonie Wagner..
