Brad Pitt's mid-air 'meltdown'

Angelina Jolie's divorce from Brad Pitt was sparked after he allegedly verbally and physically abused their children on a flight, it was reported yesterday. Los Angeles Police Department said that they were not investigating Pitt.Officer Luis Garcia of the LAPD told The Telegraph: "We have absolutely not initiated anything on Brad Pitt. We don't know where this has come from - maybe hearsay or something - but certainly no complaint has been made to us."Our phones started ringing off the hook this morning, and so we checked with our detectives and they confirmed that they are not investigating him either."There is no child abuse investigation into Brad Pitt."Brad Pitt under investigation for child abuse- reports In the latest string of reports surrounding Brad and Angelina's split - it has emerged that Brad is allegedly under investigation for child abuse. A second LAPD officer, Jenny Houser, told The Telegraph: "LAPD is not handling any report or investigation of child abuse against Mr Brad Pitt."But according to US gossip site TMZ, Pitt was reported following an alleged drunken incident on a flight last Wednesday when the star is accused of going "wild", screaming and "getting physical".The LAPD and the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services are investigating, TMZ claimed.LA child protection services were unavailable for comment.Witnesses told the gossip site the plane landed at an unnamed airport around 8pm where Pitt continued to rant on the tarmac.Chaos at Brangelina homeAs news of their split continues to send shockwaves around the world, the 'love is dead' rhetoric shows no signs of calming down, 'sources' are popping up faster than men with beards.Pitt and Jolie were said by the gossip site to have been interviewed by child protection services.A source close to Pitt told TMZ: "He takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children."It's unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light."Jolie filed for divorce on Tuesday, citing irreconcilable differences.The couple were together for 12 years, marrying in 2014, and have six children.French actress Marion Cotillard denies role in Brangelina splitFrench actress Marion Cotillard on Wednesday denied any involvement in the sudden split between Hollywood power couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, wishing that the two will "find peace," and confirming her pregnancy with her long-time partner.Pitt, 52, was said to be devastated by Jolie's decision to seek a divorce and was said to be furious at suggestions she was concerned by his alleged alcohol consumption, marijuana use and "anger issues".Jolie is also said to have been angered by his relationship with French actress Marion Cotillard - his co-star in the film Allied.Jolie was said to be so concerned about her husband's chemistry with Cotillard that she hired a private eye to watch them on set.On Wednesday Cotillard spoke about the swirling speculation.Angelina 'hired PI to spy on Brad and co-star'Brad Pitt has been angered by Angelina Jolie's demand to have sole custody of their six children, and has told friends she has "unleashed hell" by allowing damaging stories to emerge about his fitness as a parent."I am not used to commenting on things like this but as this situation is affecting people I love, I have to speak up," she wrote on Instagram."Firstly, many years ago, I met the man of my life, the father of our son and of the baby we are expecting.
