On the radar: Elvis lives in 10 parts

Weinstein television has signed a deal that will allow the company music rights and access to Graceland for a 10- part biopic on Elvis Presley. According to deadline.com, the cameras will have access to Elvis's cars, jet and clothes for the series, which is based on the book Elvis by Dave Marsh.With Antoine Fuqua' s The Magnificent Seven - the remake of the remake of Akira Kurosawa's The Seven Samurai releasing this week, a trailer has appeared for a documentary about Kurosawa's long-time collaborator, the Japanese actor Toshiro Mifune. Mifune: The Last Samurai is touring the film festival circuit.September is International Recovery Month and so the annual Recovery Film Festival is taking place at The Labia in Cape Town and The Bioscope in Johannesburg until Sunday.
