The "godfather of kwaito" Mdu Masilela is back. The 44-year-old had women across the country lusting after him when he came out of a hiatus to attend Mandoza's funeral last month. "I was chosen to trend, I was never forced to be Mdu. I just am. I am for the people. I heard they said I am a national treasure. I'm accepting anything people see in me . I'm for the people," he said.Now he's back in the spotlight, Masilela will be releasing a new single next week.The musician was a pioneer of kwaito music during the 1990s, along with Mandoza, Boom Shaka, Trompies, Brown Dash and Spikiri, to name a few."I call my music kwaito hip-hop.
