Food and Allied Workers' Union bitter about sugar tax

The Food and Allied Workers' Union has vowed to shut down parts of the Pretoria CBD today as part of nationwide protests against the proposed sugar tax.About 1,000 people are expected to descend upon the Treasury head office between 10am and midday, said Fawu general secretary Katishi Masemola.Further protests are planned for Durban on Wednesday. It will be rolled out in other parts of the country.Masemola said the march was aimed at highlighting job losses that will come with the implementation of the sugar tax...
