Water has long been intertwined in the story of Fundudzi by Craig Jacobs, the Afro sports luxe label inspired by the sacred lake of the Venda who believe you can hear their ancestors drumming beneath its waters at night.

And, as South Africa continues to experience severe droughts over the years, Fundudzi by Craig Jacobs pays tribute to this precious resource in its latest lookbook, Vuwani|The Rise.

The lookbook was shot on location on the outskirts of Houghton at The Wilds, the 16ha nature reserve - known as Johannesburg's Garden of Eden - thanks to the support of Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo.

Shot by Philly Mohlala under the creative direction of Fundudzi designer Craig Jacobs, the photography captures the emergence of a tribe as it embarks on an epic journey. The background features cycads, natural vegetation and the remnants of a waterfall.

The lookbook also introduces the Fundudzi house print that washes over signature T-shirts, bomber jackets and swim shorts. The label's latest collection is a deft blend of sporty elements with African prints in a contemporary style.

Key items from the collection are available at Merchants on Long (Cape Town), Space Man (Umhlanga and Rosebank, Johannesburg), and online at spree.co.za
