Randy banker's loony campaign lands him in big trouble

THEY say hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, but some men can give many women a run for their money. Take the case of a Wall Street investment banker who embarked on a crazy transAtlantic pursuit of his estranged ex-girlfriend.

This week JP Morgan analyst David Gray was convicted of waging a harassment campaign against the former lover he met at his firm's New York office. The New York Daily News recounts how Gray was accused of hacking the brunette's e-mails, deluging her with 176 text messages in less than 24 hours and breaking into her London apartment to see her after their torrid extra-marital affair ended.

Daniela Rausnitz, 25, said she was transferred to the firm's London offices to escape her erratic ex-lover - but he kept hunting her down. The campaign peaked when he learnt that she had a new boyfriend.

Rausnitz said Gray falsely said his sister had died, stole candlesticks from her apartment and even told her he was critically ill - all in a desperate bid to get her attention. When police tried to arrest him, he claimed he was a Mossad agent who needed to speak with Rausnitz about taped conversations recorded by a bug under her bed. Besides proving that scorned men can get pretty crazy, the tale also disproves the myth that all bankers are boring.
