Perhaps the biggest news to come out of 5FM's new line-up announcement this morning is that it has kept its two biggest presenters- DJ Fresh and Gareth Cliff.

Earlier this month, Sasha Martinengo, Anele Mdoda and Grant Nash announced their departures, with the station keeping mum on replacements.

Mdoda moves back to regional station Highveld Stereo, while Nash will retire from radio entirely to pursue other interests- including a 5 month spiritual hiatus in Nepal.

DJ Euphonik (real name Themba Nkosi), seen by many as the hottest property behind the decks right now, will host the 7-10pm slot on Saturday and Sundays. Euphonik has for a while appeared on DJ Fresh's afternoon drive during the Ultimix@6 daily feature, and already hosts the three hour My House show on Sunday nights.

Rob Vember will be replaced by Roger Goode and Angie Khumalo in the 7-10pm week nights slots. The station is yet to reveal where Vember will be placed, but confirmed he would be staying with the station. A possibility is the 12-3pm slot being vacated by Nash and Mdoda or the 9am-12pm slot Martinengo hosted with Kim Schulze.

Speculation also surrounds Thomas Msengana, Poppy Ntshongwana (currently doing news on Fresh's afternoon drive, and hosts the 10am-2pm Sunday slot) and KB. 5FM said more details on the line-up will be revealed on March 8.

The popular national station has been home to many a popular radio presenter, including Zuraida Jardine, Nicole Fox, Mark Gilman, Koula, Ian F and Kevin Fine.
