It's been several months since Okmalumkoolkat served time in an Australian jail and it seems people still want answers as to what exactly happened.

Appearing on the Sobering podcast this week, TV personality Luthando "LootLove" Shosha told listeners that South Africa deserves to know what happened and called on Okmalumkoolkat to speak on the issue.

Loot says that she finds the fact that he is still releasing music so soon after the scandal shocking, mostly because she feels like he hasn't properly explained it all to fans.

  • Musician Inno claims Sammy Sosa ran away with R20k of his moneyUp-and-coming musician Inno has taken to social media to call on popular TV personality Sammy Sosa to pay back R20 000 he claims he sent her to feature on his track

"Of course we want to know. We wanted to know what Oscar did, didn't we? We don't want him to serve more time. We just want an understanding, a real genuine understanding, because even when you read the letter of apology it doesn't sound like it comes from the heart. It doesn't sound remorseful, I guess," she says.

She acknowledges that different people will read different things into the letter, so she believes the rapper should come out once and for all and speak about the incident, like he would talk about his music.

"Just because you've done what you've done for a month doesn't mean it's enough. We're also a very accountable culture. We want explanations, we want to know... so we kind of need him to acknowledge and say sorry and not just jump into work like: 'it doesn't matter, I've served my time,'" she said.

  • LootLove questions AKA's political 'rants'TV personality Luthando "LootLove" Shosha has suggested that AKA might have gone a little too far by getting so deep into politics on Twitter.

Okmalumkoolkat has refused to speak on the matter since issuing a letter of apology in March. He was found guilty of indecent assault and assault with indecent intent.

In the letter he apologised to everyone that was affected by the incident, while promising to one day explain in his own words what happened.

*This story has been amended to clarify the charges against Okmalumkoolkat. An earlier version said he had been found guilty of sexual assault. This is incorrect. He was found guilty of indecent assault and assault with indecent intent.
