A British mother, Jennifer Butler, is abandoning her three children and husband to move to America to a violent criminal she met on the internet.

The 29-year-old will travel to the French Robertson Unit in Texas to marry Christopher Moiser, who is being released on parole in September, reported the Daily Mail. “Everyone deserves a second chance,” said Butler.

She denies that she is making a mistake with the move. “Some people might think that I am bonkers for falling in love with a prisoner. And not everyone will agree with our relationship,” she told The Sun.

Mosier’s online profile on writeaprisoner.com reveals that he had been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment in 2009 for burglary with deadly conduct. He has prior drug convictions. He was also a member of an armed gang, but Butler maintains that she was struck by his honesty and felt an immediate connection with the felon.

“I know he did a terrible crime but he’s a changed man. He’s going to make a wonderful husband and a brilliant stepdad to my children.”
