Former Mars Hill megachurch pastor Mark Driscoll referred to women as being homes for penises, according to a report.
Posting on a church message board as William Wallace II, pastor Mark Driscoll told men that they didn't own their penises, according to patheos blog Love, Joy, Feminism.
"Ultimately, God created you and it is his penis. You are simply borrowing it for a while," Driscoll wrote.
He then went on to claim that because the penis is homeless it needs to go somewhere - that's where your wife comes in.
"God created a woman to be your wife and when you marry her and look down you will notice that your wife is shaped differently than you and makes a very nice home," Driscoll wrote.
He then went on to state that a hand doesn't class as a decent home, and nor does a woman other than your wife as obviously that would leave another penis homeless.
Driscoll has been the subject of recent controversy following the revelation that he paid a marketing firm to inflate his sales figures for his book Real Marriage.
He has since been removed from Mars Hill Church's membership.
