The White House has adopted a new tactic to get Americans to sign up for health coverage - they have enlisted baby Barack Obama.

The Obama administration has tweeted an image of Barack Obama frolicking in the sea in a bid to encourage Americans to sign up for health coverage before 15 February according to The Guardian.

Michelle Obama also tweeted a picture of her younger self doing a handstand in a suburban garden, while Joe Biden posted an old black and white picture of himself looking like he knew he was going to go into politics.

15 February is the deadline for the second enrollment period for the health insurance marketplace, the centrepiece to the Affordable Health Care Act.

Whether enough young people sign up for the coverage may make or break the act, as it faces opposition from the Republican Party and scrutiny from the Supreme Court.
