A Florida church has lost its tax exempt status, after advertising nude painting sessions and slumber parties with the "sexiest ladies".

According to Christian News Panama City Beach's Life Center: A Spiritual Community, led by Markus Bishop, has been hosting late night spring break parties as Amnesia: The Tabernacle since February - events which included “Anything But Clothes” painting party and "a pajama and lingerie party hosted by the sexiest ladies on the beach."

It also offered a "Wet and Wild" Party complete with Twerking, and a Mardi Gras party with the tag line “What will you do for your beads?”

In other words, encouraging women to flash their boobs.

Local Sheriff Frank McKeithen was not impressed, likening the church to a "slap in the face".

“They’re trying to get around the laws, and they’re using the church to get there,” McKeithen said according to the Panama News Herald.

According to UPI, Property Appraiser Dan Sowel agreed, saying "A bottle club, charging $20 at the door and selling obscene T-shirts is not being used as a church."

"A God-fearing, God-honouring church in January does not sponsor this type of debauchery in March."
