An anonymous complainer in the Rosengarten apartments in Untersiggenthal, Switzerland would like his neighbours to quieten down their sex lives.
“Believe me, it’s no fun when you have to explain to one of the elderly relatives or godchildren that the words of the neighbours, ‘Oh God, I’m coming’ have nothing to do with religion or suicide,” according to the neighbour's letter, Switzerland's The Local reports.
Another neighbour confirmed that the couple were noisy, saying “Through the open window, I hear them, though I do not live in the same building.”
That said, the neighbourhood wasn't entirely on the letter writer's side.
“Sex in your own home should surely still be allowed,” said one neighbour.
Walter Angst, spokesman for the local tenant association said that the issue requires mutual compromise.
“You can close the window during intercourse,” Angst said.
He also said, however, that it is unreasonable to expect couples to be silent during sex or to establish times when lovemaking could occur.
