WATCH: 19 buildings demolished in 10 seconds

Nineteen residential tower blocks were simultaneously brought down in a controlled 10 second explosion on Saturday in the central Chinese city of Wuhan.

The residential flats were between seven and 12 storeys high and stretched across 150 000 square meters.

According to the DailyMail the flats were demolished to make way for a new business district, including a 707-meter tall skyscraper.

The buildings were leveled using 5 tonnes of explosives after authorities waited for the site to clear.
