Jansen is a threat to bad education

Louis van Rooyen, Klerksdorp Your report on the University of the Free State winning the World Universities' Forum Award refers (The Times, January 10).

Please! This is nothing but more evidence of just how dangerous Professor Jonathan Jansen, the rector and vice-chancellor of that university, is.

The man not only thinks he knows, he actually knows, what he is doing.

And as if that is not enough, he moreover has the integrity, strength of purpose and inspiring leadership to implement his policies.

Education Minister Angie Motshekga, be warned: Keep the man out of our school system.

Jansen just might make a difference, and result in some actual education taking place.

Lord forbid this man should ever become president of the country.
