Dear Embarrassed NRI

If you had the courage of your convictions, you would not hide behind a nom de plume.

Talking about the quality of our contestants let me tell you that in the last 19 years, we have produced two winners of the Miss India Worldwide, three first runners up, three-second runners up and eight in the top 10.

Our contestants have been acclaimed among the best, and no less than six of them won the Best Talent Award which is the top most prize in the Miss India Worldwide.

May I also point out that the newly crowned Miss India South Africa, Sheina Gokool is presently in India on a three-week visit and the Government is hosting her.

Tell me, Embarrassed NRI, do you think that the Indian Government is deaf, dumb and blind?

All your criticism about the quality of contestants is rubbish. The figures speak for themselves.

Our contestants are world class.

Secondly, we are not a beauty Pageant, ours is based on the performing arts. Our contestants have been acclaimed among the best, and no less than six of them won the Best Talent Award which is the top most prize in the Miss India Worldwide.

All your criticism about the quality of contestants is rubbish. It is very clear that you are consumed by hatred, jealousy and the worst kind of poison.

You have tried to shoot down the Miss India South Africa with an emotional outburst, which reveals that you have no respect for the facts, and would rather use malicious comment for the benefit of your insatiable addiction to drag anything which you cannot match.

You have over exaggerated and claimed to have saw things which did not happen and I am surprised that the Times carried your letter. But then the Times also got it wrong, using a picture from the 2010 Pageant and declaring it was from the 2011 event.

This proves that some things go wrong for most of us, there are glitches, but your comments are baseless, without foundation and exposes you as a enemy of common sense.

Your comments on the saries is out of line, some of the girls chose to have their saries draped as it is in their respective areas of India. You don’t know that, but you dared to criticise.

The Miss India South Africa contestants are chosen very carefully and then they are trained. During Pageant week, they are all brought to Durban and are put

through workshops and attend motivational lectures and rehearsals.

Your deductions are all wrong that we put just anyone on stage without any kind of preparation.

May I also point out that we have no corporate sponsors and did not have one in all our time. Yet we still put on a show, which is always sold out.

So, whatever your intention is to attack the Pageant, it is certainly comes from a very sick mind.

Oh, one more thing, go watch your Grade 0 TV movies.
