We fully agree that South Africa is overpopulated and that there are definitely already too many people on the planet, leading to all sorts of problems as resources battle to keep up with the increased demand.

Unless authorities world wide take radical action to bring global population under control we are going to see wars over resources on micro and macro scales,  there will also be famines with plenty people starving to death. Planet earth can only support so many people, and after that there will not be enough to go around.

To convince all cultures that believe in having large families that it has become necessary to have smaller families or no families at all might well be impossible.

So yes in the future there is going to be strife as people are going to have to compete for resources in order to survive.

In the longer term, however, Mother Nature will balance itself out either by means of a pandemic or asteroid strike or runaway global warming or whatever.

We have educated our two sons to this effect and they have both sensibly opted not to have any children.

Good luck you guys. Us oldies only have about 20 years left to live.
