There is much to criticise in finance minister Tito Mboweni’s budget, yet there is much to praise, and much to be hopeful about, despite the tough and bitter news it conveyed.
And while the criticisms of Mboweni and President Cyril Ramaphosa are not misplaced, there is a new resolve in government – there is hope.
