Injured woman airlifted off Table Mountain

A woman in her 20s was airlifted off Cape Town’s Table Mountain on Wednesday afternoon after she fell and injured her leg.

ER24 paramedics‚ AMS‚ Community Medics and Metro Rescue were called to the scene after receiving reports of a woman injured on the mountain.

“The AMS helicopter was called to airlift the woman from the mountain as paramedics were unable to reach her‚” ER24 emergency medical service said.

Once rescued‚ the woman was delivered to awaiting ER24 paramedics on the road.

“Assessments showed that the woman had sustained serious injuries to her leg and required immediate treatment.

“The patient was transported by ER24 ambulance to Mediclinic Cape Town for further treatment‚” ER24 said.
