Would-be thieves who tried their luck at a computer shop were thwarted by a pepper spray alarm system‚ which left them empty-handed and choking instead. Pepper spray alarm at H2O in Sugarloaf Centre, Hillcrest nails computer thieves for the 2nd time in 2 weeks. The thieves couldn't get away with a single item of IT equipment, and were forced back out the door in 15 seconds flat.Posted by Ian Colls on Monday, 11 July 2016Ian Colls‚ the manufacturer of the pepper spray alarm‚ said the system was made specifically for the South African market.The alarm system which works independently from the blitz alarm can squirt up to 300ml of fiery pepper spray.Colls says the system can be linked to a user's cell phone or CCTV feed of the business. This allows the business owner to activate it remotely from the comfort and safety of their home.
