Embattled former KZN social development head Nokuthula Khanyile has come in for a judicial tongue-lashing for her failure to deal properly and efficiently with adoptions in the province.

Khanyile was removed from her post in 2019 pending a maladministration probe, but now also faces accusations of meddling and using delaying tactics in the adoption process.
