A purpose-built racer, this “Sahara Beige” 911 Carrera 3.0 RSR IROC sports a 911/75 3.0-litre “high-butterfly” flat-six racing engine paired to a five-speed manual gearbox. Its exterior, meanwhile, differentiates itself from lesser 911 models with matte black headlamp covers, a sizeable front oil cooler, quick-release bonnet catches and an external fire extinguisher switch. There's also a rear spoiler and a set of wide Fuchs alloy wheels. The stripped-out cabin holds a pair of bucket seats with period-appropriate Repa harnesses.
No reserve price is listed on the Collecting Cars website (none that we can find anyway), however these ultra-rare IROC-spec 911s usually attract top dollar. Avid Porsche collector Jerry Seinfeld sold his ex-Peter Revson car for $2.31m in 2016. Factoring in this example's stint with The King of Cocaine we expect it to go for equally insane money.
