Severe thunderstorms expected across Gauteng and Mpumalanga

The South African Weather Service has issued a warning to expect severe thunderstorms across the northern parts of the country on Thursday.

Storms are expected on the highveld of Mpumalanga, as well as the northern and north-eastern parts of Gauteng.

The western parts of Limpopo could also expect heavy thunderstorms, said the weather service.

There is a 60% chance of showers in the north of Pretoria and a 30% chance of rain for the rest of Gauteng.
