Last week we reported that a new Ford Mustang Bullitt Edition was in the production pipeline: a modern-day hat-tip to the original Highland Green 390 GT Fastback that Steve McQueen drove to car chase fame in Peter Yates' 1968 crime caper, Bullitt ().
Well yesterday at the 2018 Detroit Motor Show, Ford went and pulled the covers off said and highly anticipated special edition. And – damn – it's quite a looker with its dark green paintwork, black grille and alloy wheels. In fact it could be the coolest looking new Mustang since it launched back in 2015. But, yeah, you guessed it, Ford has no plans of bringing any to South Africa anytime soon. – Thomas Falkiner
