Decomposed body of unknown man recovered from river in KZN

Police divers from the search and rescue (SAR) unit along with members of the metro police recovered the body of an unknown man from a river in KwaDukuza, north of Durban, on Wednesday afternoon. 

TimesLIVE understands that the man's badly decomposed body was found trapped under debris and tree logs. 

The victim's body is believed to have been carried out of the valley in a Stokes rescue basket and handed over to members of KwaDukuza SAPS.

An inquest docket has been opened.
