Swaziland close to eliminating malaria

The tiny landlocked kingdom of Swaziland is likely to become the first country in southern Africa to eliminate malaria. With only 603 malaria cases last season (July 2014-June 2015)‚ Swaziland is poised to eliminate malaria by the end of 2016‚ according to the National Malaria Control Programme.If the country achieves malaria elimination‚ it will be the first country in southern Africa to achieve zero local cases.
