Not many people would look at a bag of stale bread and think: “I could make hand sanitiser out of that.”

Not many people would look at a bag of stale bread and think: “I could make hand sanitiser out of that.” 

But that’s exactly what scientists at Stellenbosch University’s food science department have done.
