Archaeologists find some of world's oldest gay porn in Greece

Some of the world's earliest erotic graffiti has been uncovered, carved into a cliff overlooking the Bay of Vathy in Greece according to a report.

Among the penises and racy writing there are ancient messages such as this one from the mid sixth century BC "Nikasitimos was here mounting Timiona (Νικασίτιμος οἶφε Τιμίονα)."

"This graffiti … is not just among the earliest ever discovered. By using the verb in the past continuous [tense], it clearly says that these two men were making love over a long period of time, emphasising the sexual act in a way that is highly unusual in erotic artwork," Dr Andreas Vlachopoulos, a specialist in prehistoric archaeology told The Guardian.

Two penises, apparently from the fifth century, were also found engraved under the name of Dion further down the mountain.

"They would seem to allude to similar behaviour on the part of Dion," Dr Vlachopoulos told the newspaper.

According to the report the lewd writing demonstrates that it wasn't just philosophers who knew how to write in ancient Greece.
