Government withdraws 88‚000 tablets from schools due to theft

The much-lauded programme to introduce tablets to government schools to improve the quality of education has come to an abrupt end following a spate of thefts. Gauteng education MEC Panyaza Lesufi announced today that 88‚000 tablets would be withdrawn from schools across the province after a series of burglaries.
