Shell-shocked cops find 9‚000 poached abalone in bakkie

A second dawn raid in two days has netted R1.5 million worth of poached abalone. The Cape Town K9 Unit and Department of Agriculture‚ Forestry and Fisheries officials swooped early on Friday after seeing a suspicious-looking vehicle near Lwandle‚ Somerset West.They gave chase and when they pulled over the Ford Ranger in Strand they found it packed with 9 417 abalone.
