Charles Thato: I can't believe there are people who still believe poverty motivates murder. I refer to "Poverty the real issue in Dewani murder" (December 13).

There is one thing that we should remember: we are people and not animals.

Black people who can be bought to kill other people not only give a bad image to their country but also give the impression that the black people are barbaric.

As a level-headed black man, I would think twice before I say another black man has been motivated by poverty to kill another person.

It is not difficult to figure out that any non-black who hires a black person to kill another person equates the black person with an animal.

Why else do they not carry out the evil tasks themselves?

There are many blacks out there who were born poor but have worked themselves up to the top through honesty. We are not animals, please.
