Three students from the King Hintsa Further Training College in Butterworth were arrested on Saturday morning for the possession of drugs, Eastern Cape police said.

"The trio, aged 24, and two others, aged 23-years-old, were found with three mandrax tablets and three zols of dagga," said spokesman Captain Jackson Manatha.

Manatha said police received intelligence that the three, living at the Theko Vocational Campus, were using drugs and arrested them at 2.15am on Saturday.

They will appear in the Centane Magistrate's Court on Monday.
