Journalist and videographer Elles van Gelder and photojournalist Ilvy Njiokiktjien, spent a week in the veld at a right-wing organization Kommandokorps, situated 230km east of Johannesburg.

Mail & Guardian broke the news on February 24, regarding the Kommandokorps extremist right-wing camp which is led by an old-apartheid leader Franz Jooste.

Jooste organizes camps during the school holidays where Afrikaner teenagers learn to defend themselves against crime and are advised that they should not integrate in the new democratic South Africa.

This video production illustrates how these young white South African teens wrestle with an uncertain identity and vision of our multicultural rainbow nation.
