South African street style reflects the vibrant diversity of our society.

Often what we see on fashion week runways is too expensive for us, but we are inspired nonetheless.

Cleverly, we take to the markets, malls and secondhand shops to find similar items to make up our looks.

This week the inaugural Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Africa will be presented at Melrose Arch in Johannesburg from October 24 to 28.

South Africa's David Tlale and Craig Native will show their trans-seasonal collections along with Ghana's Kiki Clothing, Nigeria's Deola Sagoe, France's Fred Sathal, New York's Kevin Hall and many others.

To win a pair of tickets to one of these shows , send us an image you've taken of somebody on the streets of your area who you think has style. Menzi Mcunu and Tatenda Chidora, whose pictures you'll find on this page, are two of many entries received so far.

How to enter:

  • Browse your city, find a funky setting, take your street-style fashion image and upload on Twitter;
  • Tweet photo to: @ST_LifeStyleMag, @AFI_sa, with #MBFWAFRICA tag;
  • Answer this: Where is Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week being held?

Should your entry be successful, we will contact you by Direct Message on Twitter.
