APP OF THE WEEK

Nowadays there is an app for pretty much everything - including, ladies, an app that calculates your menstrual and ovulation cycle for you.

My Cycles Period and Ovulation Tracker does exactly what it says. It is free on iOS and Android.

GADGET OF THE WEEK

The Soundfreaq Sound Spot is a Bluetooth speaker small enough to carry around (12.7cm high) cool enough to show off (it looks like wood) and it has sound powerful enough to start a party. You can connect another speaker for full stereo. The rechargeable battery lasts for up to seven hours.

ON THE WEB

A father has posted a video documenting the first year of his son's life, put together from one second of footage a day.

The seven-minute video was uploaded onto Vimeo by British photographer Sam Cornwell. His footage of his son Indigo's life starts from the moment he is born and extends to when he takes his first steps.

INSTAGRAM

Most celebrity Instagram accounts feature stars looking red-carpet-ready. But Girls creator and star Lena Dunham's Instagram account is refreshingly not so. She posts dorky pictures of her everyday life and behind-the-scenes pictures from the set of Girls.
