The University of Stellenbosch Business School has been rated the best in SA for MBA and MBL degrees for the third consecutive year.

Employers rated MBA graduates from various business schools in a Professional Management Review survey .

The graduates were rated on academic knowledge, application of knowledge in the workplace, communication skills, emotional intelligence, entrepreneurial skills, environmental awareness, ethical business conduct, financial management and human resource management.

Stellenbosch scored eight out of 10. Its marketing director, Marietjie Wepener, said the ranking showed how favourably South Africa's business judged the business school, which turns 50 this year.

"The fact that USB has now been placed in the top position for three years in a row [2012, 2013 and 2014]and achieved an average eight out of a possible 10 this year, shows the trust that employers have in the MBA and MBL students and graduates of this business school," she said.

PMR.africa CEO Johan Hattingh said human resource directors, managers and line managers at listed and large companies, national, provincial and local government departments, municipalities and state-owned enterprises had participated in the survey. The ratings were based on their perceptions.
