Chris Rock's last outing as a director was 2007's I Think I Love my Wife, an occasionally funny but generally misguided remake of a film by French director Eric Rohmer. With his latest film Rock gets the closest he has ever come to transferring the in-your-face style of his stand-up comedy to the big screen.
