City ombudsman to come to the aid of Joburgers

Johannesburg residents now have an ombudsman who will hear their grievances. Siduduzo Gumede will investigate claims of maladministration, abuse of power and improper, unfair and discourteous conduct by municipal employees.Gumede was appointed by a multiparty committee as the city ombudsman after a three-year process that required the drafting of a by-law to enable his first-of-a-kind post.
