This is daylight robbery. Yesterday, Public Protector Thuli Madonsela laid bare details of former Eastern Cape MEC for social development Pemmy Majodina's five-day trip to New York in September 2012. We are told she spent about R3 000 a day on lunch alone. Last year she caused a public outcry when it emerged she went to the US to hand-deliver an invitation to human rights activist Reverend Jesse Jackson to some talk shop in Eastern Cape.
