Candyfloss and ice cream as over 1,000 people gather for anti-xenophobia march

More than 1000 people turned out in Parktown in support of the anti-xenophobia march that was set to start on Thursday afternoon. Groups of people sang and danced in Piet Roos Park.The atmosphere was festive with vendors were selling ice cream and candyfloss.School pupils were also seen arriving.Many people carried anti-xenophobia placards‚ one of which read “Inequality is the root of evil not foreigners".
