Tshwane auctions land to fund housing scheme

Tshwane mayor Kgosientso Ramokgopa promised residents that they would be within walking distance of free internet access by the end of next year. Speaking during his state of the capital address at Freedom Park in Pretoria yesterday, Ramokgopa said Tshwane's free Wi-Fi would add significantly to the city's economy, saying that every 10% increase in broadband would spike the gross domestic product by 1.
